Witness of natural beauty- Andaman

If you’re an Indian or in India, #andaman is a must go place for all travel freak’.

We were 2 girls and we started our journey from Bangalore in the month of December ’18. We had booked our hotel in prior in Port Blair close to Jetty. We had booked our cruise from Port Blair to Havelock in prior as well. I recommend everyone to book their #havelock and #Niel island cruise booking in prior only.

Day1- we started our trip from Port Blair to North bay island and Ross island. We booked a ferry which is ₹750 per head up and down. That boat will drop you first at nothbay island and then pick you up from there to toss island. Northbay island has water activities including scuba diving. Divers are experienced there. After completing our water activities we head towards Ross island. Ross island has its own natural beauty of architecture & animals (kinda lil zoo, no wild animals). We had spent entire day in these two Island.

ay2- we started our journey for Havelock Island. Cruise departure time is early morning so better book a hotel close to Jetty. We reached at Havelock Island in 2 and half of of cruise journey. Cruise tickets you can get it online in 3500 per head up n down. We took a local bus to RadhaNagar beach. I have no words to explain my feelings in words. RN beach has its own beauty. You can see all colours of sea from your naked eyes in one go. Bus tickets was ₹12 per head. You can get return bus from there. Every one and half hour they have buses from there. Post sunset it is hard to get buses from any beaches, so plan accordingly. We got down at 3 no. Market and auto in ₹400 up n down to kalapathar beach. We spent good time there and came back to haddo jetty (port Blair).

Day3- we started our journey for Mt. Harriot. It is an green place on top of a hill. We took a regular ferry which costs ₹10 per head from Port Blair to Mt. Harriot. We booked a local auto from the auto stand in ₹500/- for 3 hours. The moment we reached we realised people go in the evening time there though we had the best time as there were no tourist and we could took photos well. There’s an entry fee i.e. 170/- which you need to pay to the forest department people. You can see the best view of Andaman from there. We came back to Havelock and booked our tickets for cellular jail. Which I really didn’t find interesting. It is a show where they talk about what has happened there in cellular jail. Though it is not expensive (₹ 100 per head) but it is not worth it. They simply show lights from one to another corner.

Day4- we started our journey from hado to Aberdeen bus stand. It was ₹24 per head to wandoor beach. Wandoor beach has it’s own history. We spent our entire day there only. You can eat, walk, shop & see the lovely sunset from there. It is not playing beach because of past crocodile accidents. Worth spending day there if you are seeking for peace. From wandoor beach the last bus departs by 5 pm sharp after sunset.

– Please carry umbrella & sunglasses both, you cannot predict weather of Andaman.

– carry enough cash, ATM is always out of money.

– can eat at light house restaurant & marine restaurant. Light house serves alcohol only in the evening.

– Most important All islands are closed on Mondays so better plan roaming in Port Blair. Marine museum, Sagarika for shopping and their traditional market.

– shop cultural pearl n jewels from Sagarika only. They provide bills so you do not have to worry at airport. Keep your bills handy at airport.

– must go island’s are Bartang, North bay, Ross, Havelock, Niel, chiditapu, wandoor beach & elephant beach.

– do not pick any shells from beaches as airport security may ask you to present the bill. They have 🐚 detctor machines at Airport.

I wish you all a very happy and pleasent trip to Andaman.
